A synthetic GHRH analog stabilized by an N-terminal trans-3-hexenoic acid group that resists enzymatic degradation. Published preclinical research has examined its interactions with the pituitary GHRH receptor (GHRHR) and downstream somatotroph signaling pathways.
Tesamorelin was developed in the early 2000s by Theratechnologies, a Canadian pharmaceutical company based in Montreal. The research team worked on analogs of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), building on earlier structural work with the native 44-amino-acid peptide.
The molecule is distinguished by a trans-3-hexenoic acid group attached to the tyrosine at position 1. In preclinical characterization, this modification resists enzymatic breakdown while preserving receptor-binding activity of the parent GHRH sequence.
The compound has since appeared in published preclinical investigations of the GHRH receptor (GHRHR) and associated somatotroph signaling pathways. This product is intended for research use only.
How should Tesamorelin be stored?
Research peptides are supplied lyophilized (freeze-dried) . Keep sealed vials cool, dry, and protected from light until reconstitution.
After reconstitution, refrigerate prepared solutions and use sterile technique. For general laboratory diluent and handling notes, see lyophilized peptide reconstitution .
